What We Offer

Training Built Around
You — Not a Template

At Injury Active Clinic, personal training is not a generic programme handed to you on a sheet of paper. Every session is designed around your current fitness level, injury history, and specific goals — whether that's getting out of pain, building strength, losing weight, or returning to sport.

Our personal trainer, Sam, works closely with our allied health team — meaning if something hurts, we can address it immediately rather than pushing through and making it worse.

  • Fully personalised programme — reviewed and updated every session
  • Injury-aware coaching — we train around your limitations
  • Coordination with our physio, osteo, and myotherapy team
  • Available at our Ravenhall clinic with full gym access
  • Suitable for all fitness levels — from complete beginners to athletes
  • Goal-setting, accountability, and progress tracking included

FAQs

Common Questions About Personal Training

What makes personal training at Injury Active Clinic different?

Our personal trainers work alongside a team of physiotherapists, osteopaths, myotherapists, and exercise physiologists. This means if something hurts during training, we can address it immediately — and your programme is always designed with your injury history in mind. It's personal training with allied health expertise built in.

Do I need to be fit to start personal training?

Not at all. Our personal trainer Sam works with complete beginners through to experienced athletes. Your programme is built around your current fitness level, and progressed at a pace that challenges you without breaking you down.

Where is personal training available?

Personal training is available at our Ravenhall clinic (38 Panamax Rd), which features a full rehabilitation gym with free weights, cable machines, and functional training equipment.

Can I do personal training if I have an injury or chronic pain?

Yes. Injury-aware training is one of our specialities. Sam coordinates with our allied health team to design programmes that work around your limitations and actively support your recovery. Many of our personal training clients are referred by our physio, osteo, or myotherapy team.

What is the difference between personal training and exercise physiology?

Personal training focuses on fitness, performance, and body composition goals. Exercise physiology is a clinical allied health service for people with chronic health conditions, injuries, or complex medical needs — and attracts Medicare, DVA, and private health rebates. If you have a chronic condition or complex injury, exercise physiology may be more appropriate. We can advise you on the best option.
