Who We Are

Our
Story

From a small UK clinic to Melbourne's home of pain, movement, and performance.

Who We Are

From the UK to Melbourne

Injury Active Clinic began in the UK in 2013, founded by Craig Hardingham with a simple belief: people deserved more than short-term injury treatment.

Over nearly a decade, Craig grew Injury Active into four successful clinics, working with everyday people, athletes, active adults, and those who had been stuck in the cycle of pain, treatment, temporary relief, and re-injury.

What became clear was that most people did not fail because they lacked motivation. They failed because the traditional healthcare model stopped too early.

Pain settled. Treatment ended. But the person was not always stronger, more confident, or better prepared for the demands of real life.

That insight became the foundation of Injury Active.

In 2022, Craig brought the IAC philosophy to Melbourne โ€” combining hands-on injury care, expert clinical reasoning, rehabilitation, and progressive strength training under one roof.

The idea was simple but different:

Treating an injury is only half the job.

The other half is building the strength, resilience, and movement quality to make sure it does not keep coming back.

IAC Melbourne was created for people who want more than a quick fix. It was built for those who want to understand their body, recover properly, move better, train with confidence, and return to the things they care about โ€” whether that is sport, work, parenting, gym training, or simply living without fear of breaking down again.

By 2024, IAC expanded beyond the traditional clinic model to include its first gym and recovery hub. This allowed patients and members to move seamlessly from assessment and treatment into structured strength work, coaching, and long-term physical development.

Today, Injury Active Clinic is a hybrid allied health and performance facility offering physiotherapy, osteopathy, rehabilitation, exercise science, strength training, and membership-based coaching.

But at its core, IAC is not just a clinic or a gym.

It is a place where healthcare and strength training meet.

A place where treatment does not stop at pain relief.

A place where people are guided from injury, to recovery, to performance โ€” with the right support at every stage.
